All eyes will be on Liverpool this January as new boss Jurgen Klopp makes his first moves in the transfer market, but the German has revealed this week that he will not attempt to sign any players from his former club Borussia Dortmund.
Speaking to Bild this week about rumours linking Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan to Anfield, Klopp said: "I have no intention whatsoever to lure Dortmund's stars to Liverpool" adding "‘It is only October and I don't even know how many games there are left until the winter. But we clearly have plenty of games left and we will be taking a look at our own players first." Point taken.
Liverpool currently sit 10th in the Premiership, with a tricky match away at Spurs coming this weekend. Klopp has been out meeting supporters this week in local cafes and bars, but there's only one way to keep football fans happy and that's on the pitch. Just ask Brendan Rodgers.
