Poor Man United Probably Set To Miss Out On Barca-Bound Reus
Barcelona have seen their transfer ban for being very naughty boys over the capture of Neymar suspended until next January - and that could have grave consequences for the rest of Europe.
With the possibility that they could well be suspended from making any captures from early next year, the Catalans are about to embark on a shopping spree akin to the final aisle rush on Supermarket Sweep - and they're making a bee-line for one of Man United's top targets.
German winger Marco Reus has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and it seemed likely that the Reds would make a move for his services this summer, but the departure of David Moyes has thrust their projected transfer targets into some doubt.
And with Barca coming off the back of a pretty disastrous season by their standards, they'll be keen to deal early in order to quell the disillusionment of their fans, who are already kicking off about the appointment (and failure of) Tata Martino.
United certainly have the financial clout to make a switch happen, but it remains to be seen whether their new boss will fancy the Borussia Dortmund star - or whether he might fancy plying his trade at Camp Nou rather than Carrington.
We know which we'd rather.
