Sherwood? Hasselbaink? Hughton? Who'd Be Your Choice For Next Leeds Manager?
Everyone loves seeing an ex-player - especially one adored by fans - come back and manage the club but it's not always a resounding success. It's actually rarely a success at all, with fans torn by the love of the player in their heyday and whatever the hell they're doing to their club in the present.
It's a tough one.
With the Guardian reporting that ex-Leeds hitman Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink fancies a chat with the Leeds board over a possibly takeover in the dugout, it's time for that ol' battle between nostalgia, goodwill and reality.
The 42-year-old told talkSPORT:
“Leeds United is a wonderful big club where I had two great years. If they want to talk to me, of course I would talk. I’ve got experience, I know I could take the club forward and I know I can take the club back to where they need to go.
“But what do Leeds United themselves want? That’s the most important question. How do they see things? At the moment there are so many things going on they need to sort out first, or maybe they have already.
“But if they want to talk to me, of course I would be interested. Who doesn’t want to manage Leeds United? It’s one of the 10 biggest jobs in the country.”
Who'd be your pick to take over the reigns from Hock?
