It’s fair to say that Sol Campbell is a man with very little self-awareness.
This was proved during last night’s televised election debates between the various party leaders when the Sol Man waded in to give his verdict of Labour supremo Ed Miliband.
Campbell isn’t the first person to suggest that Red Ed isn’t a born leader of men, but given his own patchy record in this area, you’d think he’d keep quiet on the subject.
After all, this is a man who walked out on the club he captained to join their greatest rivals for nothing and once refused to play in the second-half of a match, instead doing a runner from the stadium. Unsurprisingly, Spurs and Arsenal fans were quick to remind him of these facts on Twitter.
