Spurs Reportedly 'Agree Deal' For PSG Midfielder
A report in Italy from Gazzetta Dello Sport states that Spurs may have agreed a deal in principle with young PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The Frenchman was thought to be close to a move to Roma, but Spurs' Director of Football, Franco Baldini looks set to swoop in and hijack another deal involving his former club.
The 19-year-old is held in high regard in France, but is frustrated at his lack of first team opportunities at big-spending PSG. Rabiot would be quite the coup for Spurs given his reputation and potential, but he would not escape competition for places. Spurs midfielder Benjamin Stambouli would be disheartened to see another young, French player who plays in his position join the club. Another factor that may prove a stumbling block is if Yohan Cabaye is sold by PSG. If Cabaye leaves the club, Rabiot's mind may change as to whether he can get the first team action he wants.
Only time will tell, but Spurs fans will be salivating at the prospect of seeing Rabiot's flowing locks in the lily-white shirt.
