Arsenal look set to qualify for the Champions League but they have once again failed to challenge for the title.
The reason could be the Gunners’ inability to rise to the big occasion. In the mini-league between the top seven Premier League clubs, Arsenal are second from bottom, with only Southampton having fared worse.
Arsenal have only won two games against their rivals, beating the Saints at home and Manchester City away. The nine points they have claimed is dwarfed by Chelsea’s total of 14, who are seven points ahead of Arsenal in the title race.
If Arsenal want to win the Premier League again it’s not difficult to see whether they need to improve.
