Arsene Wenger is targeting a new goalkeeper at the end of the season, which may well suggest that Wojciech Szczesny's Arsenal career is over.
Indeed, the Gunners boss is hotly pursuing Fiorentina's Brazilian shot-stopper Neto, who has also been subject to interest from Liverpool and Juventus according to the Mirror.
Neto, 25, has stated publicly that he will leave the Italian club when his contract expires at the end of the season. Juventus are long time admirers of the goalie but Wenger's interest has presented Neto with a dilemma on his hands.
Petr Cech is another rumoured target for the North London club, who have lost confidence in Sczesny after a combination of poor form and weak discipline after the Polish international was caught smoking in the showers.
