The day is again upon us: Transfer Deadline Day. Will Arsenal sign David Villa? Can we expect Manchester City to replace Mario Balotelli? Is a new striker set to arrive at Tottenham Hotspur? Will Chelsea buy a goalkeeper they don't need? How many players will Queen's Park Rangers sign? Is a midfielder a possibility at Manchester United? Will Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew add to his ever-growing French revolution at St. James' Park? Is Philippe Coutinho the last bit of business at Liverpool? Will Jim White finally spontaneously combust? These questions and more that will need to be answered before the 11pm deadline tonight. Stick with us as we bring you the latest news involving the Premier League and big moves across Europe right up until the close of play. You can tweet us @sabotagetimes, leave your comments below but most importantly: DON'T FORGET TO REFRESH THE PAGE.

23:00: The gosh darn gremlins in the system didn't help the final hour, but here is a run through of the biggest deals on transfer deadline day:

David Beckham: Free Agent > Paris St. Germain

Christopher Samba: Anzhi Makhachkala > Queen's Park Rangers

Danny Graham: Swansea City > Sunderland

Nacho Monreal: Malaga > Arsenal

Jack Butland: Birmingham City > Stoke City (Butland will remain on loan with Birmingham for the remainder of the season)

Brek Shea: FC Dallas > Stoke City

Luciano Becchio: Leeds United > Norwich City (Steve Morison will move to Leeds as part of the deal)

Paul Scharner: Hamburg > Wigan Athletic

Urby Emanuelson: AC Milan > Fulham

Heurelho Gomes: Tottenham Hotspur > Hoffenheim

Jermaine Jenas: Tottenham Hotspur > Queen's Park Rangers

Andros Townsend: Tottenham Hotspur > Queen's Park Rangers

John Stones: Barnsley > Everton

And that was the end of that chapter, until August at least. I'm Ben McAleer, I hope you had an enjoyable deadline day and we'll be back for the summer window.

22:00: The final hour of the transfer window. 60 minutes until the deadline and with it; the last bit of transfer business until the summer.

21:58: Norwich City have confirmed they will not be making any more signings this transfer window, all but ending their pursuit of Celtic's Gary Hooper.

21:54: Aston Villa look set to announce the loan signing of Simon Dawkins from Tottenham Hotspur. The striker will be the fifth player to have left White Hart Lane on loan today following the departures of Heurelho Gomes, Jermaine Jenas, Alex Pritchard and Ryan Mason. He may not be the last either, with Andros Townsend set to sign for QPR on loan until the end of the season.

21:51: Southampton have just confirmed that Mauricio Pochettino won't be investing in any signings before the close of the transfer window, with the Argentine seemingly happy with the players at his disposal.

21:49: It looks as thought DJ Campbell is set to depart QPR after turning up at Ewood Park ahead of a medical. Can Blackburn Rovers secure his signature before 11pm?

21:40: Agents in England have suggested that Celtic could move for Kevin Doyle before the 11pm deadline, despite the striker being on the bench for Wolverhampton Wanderers in their encounter with Leicester City.

21:37: The Leandro Damiao deal looks to be off tonight after the Internacional president confirmed Tottenham Hotspur's offer for the striker fell well below their valuation.

21:27: Stoke City have confirmed the signing of Brek Shea on a four-and-a-half year deal from FC Dallas for £2.5m, while Alou Diarra has secured his move back to France with Rennes.

21:19: The Peter Odemwingie saga is a perplexing one. He's at Loftus Road, but not inside discussing personal terms as initially believed. Without a fee agreed, there is little the club or player can do as it looks to go to the wire with this deal.

21:13: Contrary to reports, no team has matched Mohamed Diame's £3.5m release clause, or so says Jack Sullivan, son of West Ham United owner David Sullivan.

21:00: Like Jack Bauer looking to find the nuclear warhead on 24; the clock is ticking. Two hours to go until the transfer deadline. Tick, tick, tick.

20:52: Celtic manager Neil Lennon has moved to deny reports that the club have received a fifth bid for star striker Gary Hooper. The Bhoys boss has also insisted the frontman is "NOT for sale".

20:51: Arsenal are in discussions with Fenerbache and Galatasaray over the possible sale of Andre Santos, much to the delight of the Gunners faithful. Premier League side want him off the books permanently, but a loan is seemingly a possibility.

20:39: Telegraph sport writer Jonathan Liew has tweeted that it isn't Tottenham Hotspur who've met Diame's release clause. Could Arsenal be about to land the bruising midfielder they've needed for much of the season?

20:34: Shakhtar Donetsk manager Mircea Lucescu has all but confirmed that Willian is to be sold to Anzhi Makhachkala for a staggering £34m. The Brazilian will undergo a medical ahead of his proposed move to the Russian side tomorrow.

20:32: Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason has moved to Ligue Un side Lorient on loan for the remainder of the season.

20:26: It's all starting to pick up now. Norwich City have a lodged a fifth bid for Celtic striker Gary Hooper, believed to be in the region of £9.2m. Surely it's fifth time's a charm for the Canaries?

20:22: Big news coming out of West Ham United - an unnamed Premier League club has activated Mohamed Diame's £3.5m release clause. The Midfielder has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, and it was thought the Senegal international had signed a new deal at Upton Park. Sticking with Spurs, a deal for Leandro Damiao looks like it may not be completed by 11pm. However, there is time to go before the transfer window closes - plenty of time to go.

20:03: Breaking Tottenham Hotspur news that talks are ongoing with Leandro Damiao over a £17m move.

19:58: Interesting developments regarding Peter Odemwingie. The striker is in London to secure his switch to QPR, but West Brom haven't given him permission to discuss personal terms, nor has a fee been agreed between the two teams. Three hours and two minutes to go.

19:50: Aston Villa have just tweeted they are looking to do a loan deal for a promising player who has done well recently in the MLS. On top of that, Jermaine Jenas' loan deal to QPR is all but set to go through. The player himself confirmed it's an 18-month deal, with a view to a permanent switch.

19:44: Tony Pulis has just arrived back at the Stoke City training ground from London. Is there to be a late flutter of activity going to go down at the Britannia Stadium?

19:40: An eerie silence has fallen outside the window as it edges close to the deadline. Three hours and 20 minutes to go until it's slammed shut. Will Spurs sign Leandro? Can QPR wrap up the Odemwingie signing before the close of player? Is a fifth bid in the offing from Norwich City for Celtic striker Gary Hooper? We'll have the answers to these questions, and more, come 11pm. You to can get involved in the comments section or on twitter @SabotageTimes and don't forget to refresh the page for the latest news on the big transfer deals.

19:14: Peter Odemwingie has arrived at QPR ahead of his proposed move to the west London side.

19:07: Fulham have secured the signing of their second full-back of the day after confirming the arrival of Bulgarian Stanislav Manolev on loan from PSV Eindhoven for the remainder of the season with an option for a further two years.

18:56: A little over four hours to go of the transfer window and we could have a late deadline day deal in the offing. Any deal for Leandro Damiao initially appeared dead in the window, until the summer at least anyway, but now it appears the Internacional board are discussing Spurs' offer for the Brazilian. This could go all the way to the wire, Joao Moutinho style.

18:52: Those Stoke City fans that didn't want Peter Crouch to depart the club in January can breathe a huge sigh of relief. The lanky striker is all but set to remain at the Britannia, despite interest from QPR.

18:46: Leeds United have strengthened late on in the window, with manager Neil Warnock securing the signing of namesake Stephen - no relation of course - from Aston Villa. A good signing for Leeds, no?

18:44: After missing out on Maarten Stekelenburg, Fulham manager Martin Jol has identified his frontline as the next required area to strengthen amidst reports that Cottagers are to make a late move for Lyon's Bafetimbi Gomis prior to the 11pm deadline.

18:37: Any talk of Leroy Fer's move to Everton being back on have been quashed by FC Twente chairman Joop Munsterman. The player has returned to Holland, while his agent is currently out of the country.

18:30: Jermaine Jenas' move to QPR looks to be back on as he heads to Loftus Road for a medical, while Brek Shea has seen his work permit granted and will complete his transfer to Stoke City.

18:03: A completed deal emanating from Ajax as the Eredivisie side complete the loan signing of Barcelona youngster Isaac Cuenca for the remainder of the season. The Spaniard has previously been linked with Arsenal.

18:01: Reports suggest that West Brom are looking to have Junior Hoilett included into any deal that will take Peter Odemwingie to QPR.

17:39: Tottenham Hotspur's move for Leandro Damiao seemingly off. Internacional aren't interested in selling to the north London side. For Everton, the Toffees have agreed a fee with Barnsley for John Stones, who had been linked with Wigan Athletic, while Newcastle United have signed young Swiss right-back Kevin Mbabu.

17:37: Remarkable turn of events in Rome as AS Roma have denied Maarten Stekelenburg the opportunity to fly to London to discuss personal terms with Fulham as the Serie A side can't fine a replacement for the Dutchman.

17:32: Arsenal fans will be happy to hear that a defender is set to arrive this evening. The club have agreed a €10m fee with Malaga for the transfer of Nacho Monreal. Can the deal can be completed in time? Reports suggest the Spaniard is on his way to London now to discuss personal terms with the Gunners.

17:27: Maarten Stekelenburg is believed to be flying into London this evening ahead of his proposed move to Fulham, while it looks like Gary Hooper will be staying at Celtic with any deal appearing "increasingly unlikely".

17:23: Some news for Tottenham Hotspur as Heurelho Gomes and Alex Pritchard depart the club on loan to Hoffenheim and Peterborough, respectively.

16:45: Former Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko has joined Fiorentina on loan from PSG, while Fulham winger Pajtim Kasami has moved to Italian side Pescara.

16:43: David Beckham's deal with Paris St. Germain is for five months, it's been confirmed.

16:33: Not necessarily transfer news, but Chelsea have just learnt that Eden Hazard will not have his three match ban increased over the Swansea City ball boy incident.

16:29: One for Arsenal fans now - is Arsene Wenger set to splash out on a defender? They've made enquiries over the availability of Athletic Bilbao defender Fernando Amorebieta.

16:26: News for all you Fulham fans reaching us here at Sabotage Times. Rob Jansen, agent of AS Roma Maarten Stekelenburg, has just told Sky Italia: "We are hard at work to move to Fulham." Interesting news for all you Cottagers supporters. Could the goalkeeper be the second Dutchman to make the trip to Craven Cottage following the arrival of Urby Emanuelson?

16:19: Norwich City have seen a £2m bid for Birmingham City defender Curtis Davies rejected. The Championship side are believed to be holding out for £4m.

16:17: News emanating from the Den and Millwall have extended the loan spell of young Tottenham Hotspur right-back Adam Smith until the end of the season. "He's been a regular at right-back for us and has done very well. We look forward to continuing to work with him and help with his development and football education here," Lions boss Kenny Jackett has said.

16:14: It looks like Willian if Anzhi Makhachkala bound for a staggering £34m...or just under three Christopher Samba's in QPR terms.

16:09: Swansea City have been denied the opportunity to take young Manchester City striker John Guidetti on loan following the sale of Mario Balotelli. Dutch football expert Adam Summerton believes he's a readymade replacement for the now AC Milan striker - do you think that's the case?

16:05: It's all going a bit mental again, isn't it? Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of midfielder Yacouba Sylla from Clermont. The 22-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year deal and he's thrilled to be joining a "Dynamic and exciting young team".

16:03: Let's have a look at the movements across the continent, shall we? Inter Milan have confirmed the signing of Mateo Kovacic from Dynamo Zagreb, a move he's described as "A dream come true". Isn't that sweet?

16:01: QPR cancelled a deal for Andros Townsend earlier today, but the deal looks to be back on. The Tottenham Hotspur winger looks set to move to Loftus Road on a six month loan deal and will be followed by Jermaine Jenas, who'll be with the R's for 18 months. Sticking with Spurs, a deal for Leandro Damiao is unlikely, but not impossible.

15:56: One of Europe's biggest transfers could be about to take place today. Rumours gathering pace that Willian, who has been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the past, is set for a move to Anzhi Makhachkala after Shakhtar Donetsk accepted their €35m bid for the Brazilian. Bear in mind, however, that the Russian and Ukrainian transfer windows don't close until the end of next month.

15:52: It was never going to be a quiet day for Arsenal, was it? With Andre Santos likely to depart before 11pm, the Gunners are said to be chasing another left-back as cover for Kieran Gibbs.

15:47: One for all you Barnsley folk out there - I'm looking at you David Preece - Stoke City's Rory Delap is set to join on loan for the remainder of the season. You can expect a change in David Flitcroft's attacking plans from now on.

15:45: Twitter looks to be back and just moments before Ben bit down onto his cyanide capsule. Danger averted, we're back underway with 15 minutes to spare ahead of David Beckham's PSG press conference.

15:38: A quick one for QPR fans - linked with Peter Odemwingie over the last few days and it's being reported that a deal is likely to be completed later today. How do you feel about the Nigerian signing? Are West Brom fans loathe to losing the striker?

15:34: It's been confirmed that David Beckham has passed his medical at Paris St. Germain. He will be presented in the next 25 minutes or so to the French press.

15:30: Spurs fans, do you remember Mido? He's just been released by Barnsley. Well, you have been linked with a move for a striker this window...

15:26: Twitter is currently down. Today isn't the day for Twitter to be down. Here's hoping it's back up again soon - the sight of Ben sitting in the corner, weeping, whispering 'Why?' over and over again isn't a pretty one.

15:22: It's all very quiet again on the transfer front, but it's also less than 40 minutes until David Beckham's press conference where it's expected to be announced that he's signed for Paris St. Germain.

15:08: Curtis Davies is attracting interest from Norwich City. Canaries boss Chris Hughton is keen to bolster his defence and has earmarked the Birmingham City defender as a potential arrival, with Leon Barnett expected to go the other way in any deal.

15:01: Stoke City have confirmed they have agreed a fee with Birmingham City to sign Jack Butland. The young goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Chelsea and moves to the Britannia Stadium for a fee of just under £5m. He will spend the rest of the season with Birmingham.

14:56: No surprise to hear that Arsenal are going to push for David Villa in a last ditch move before the 11pm deadline. The Gunners have been strongly linked with the Barcelona striker for much of the window. Our Spanish football expert Garreth Nunn thinks he wouldn't be a good move for the club - do you agree?

14:52: These Leandro Damiao rumours are gathering pace quicker than Usain Bolt on the 100m sprint - apparently Tottenham Hotspur have made a last ditch £16m bid for the Brazilian, a long term target of the club. Could Spurs be about to make the biggest signing on deadline day?

14:42: With Paul Robinson said to be close to a move to West Ham United, Hammers fans will be buoyed by the news that midfielder Mohamed Diame is set to sign a new deal with Upton Park. The powerful Senegal international has been linked with a move away from the club, with north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both linked with a move for him.

14:27: Blackpool striker Kevin Phillips could be set for a reunion with Ian Holloway, with Crystal Palace said to be close to adding the frontman to their ranks.

14:14: Remember when we said Norwich City were readying a fourth bid for Gary Hooper? Well, it's now emerged that Celtic have rejected the offer for the striker. Will the Canaries return with a fifth bid? Will they land their top target before 11pm tonight?

14:13: In all the excitement of deadline day, the FA have announced the England squad that will face Brazil next week:

Goalkeepers: Jack Butland, Joe Hart.

Defenders: Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka, Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker.

Midfielders: Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Leon Osman, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere.

Forwards: Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Daniel Welbeck.

14:07: It just doesn't stop, does it? Everton have reportedly seen a €14m move for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo rejected. The Toffees have money to spend after a deal to sign Leroy Fer yesterday collapsed.

14:05: When it rains, it pours - Napoli have signed Rolando from FC Porto. The defender had been linked with QPR, before I'm assuming Harry Redknapp realised it wasn't the Real Madrid striker and opted against the deal.

14:04: A brief lull in the dealings, but we're back in the swing once again as Football Manager favourite Diego Buonanotte signs for Granada on a four-and-a-half year deal from Malaga, while Sunderland have confirmed the arrival of Danny Graham from Swansea City on a three-and-a-half year deal.

14:01: QPR are really going for it today, aren't they? After confirming the signing of Christopher Samba, reports are now circulating that they're continuing talks with West Bromwich Albion regarding a possible move for striker Peter Odemwingie.

14:00: News from France now as David Beckham confirms he is on his way to Paris after updating his Facebook page with a picture of him on the plane to the French capital. Two hours now until the press conference with the Ligue Un side.

13:55: Remember earlier this afternoon when we said that Spurs were reported to be resurrecting a move for Leandro Damiao? Daniel Taylor of the Guardian has tweeted suggesting the same. Rumours beginning to gather pace on this deal with a little over nine hours to go until the transfer deadline. Can Spurs finally land their long-term striking target this month?

13:53: News from Upton Park as West Ham United midfielder Alou Diarra joins Rennes on loan until the end of the season with a view to a £2m move in the summer. The Frenchman has made just five appearances since signing for the Hammers in the summer from Bordeaux.

13:44: It's all gone very quiet on the transfer front...a little too quiet for my liking. Is this the calm before the storm? Stick with us to find out.

13:30: Interesting one for Spurs fans. Remember head coach Andre Villas-Boas claiming he isn't looking to sign a striker before the close of the window? Well, Brazilian newspaper ClicRBS have suggested the club have made a £20m bid for Internacional striker Leandro Damiao. The fee would smash their current transfer record, which currently stands at £16.5m that the club paid for Darren Bent and Luka Modric in 2007 and 2008, respectively.

13:26: For West Ham United supporters, the Hammers are hopeful of completing a deal to sign Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson before the transfer window slams shut. Meanwhile, Liverpool are confident that Blackpool will accept their £6m bid for Thomas Ince, while the Reds look set to cancel the contract of goalkeeper Doni. The Brazilian has made just four appearances since arriving at Anfield from AS Roma in 2011.

13:19: Liverpool fans, do you remember Dani Pacheco? The 22-year-old Spaniard has joined Segunda Division side Huesca on loan for the remainder of the season.

13:17: Breaking news emanating from Spain. Atletico Madrid midfielder Emre has terminated his contract with the club and signed with Fenerbache until 2015.

13:15: Strong words from Mario Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola today: "We've decreased the value of the Premier League by 50% and increased Serie A's by 50%." The erratic Italian completed his move to AC Milan from Manchester City yesterday in one of the transfer window's biggest moves this January.

13:11: Middlesborough manager Tony Mowbray believes a deal to sign Kieron Dyer is close to completion. The midfielder can sign any time outside the transfer window after being released by QPR.

13:08: With reports claiming Stoke City have lodged a bid for Jack Butland, you would've thought Asmir Begovic would be departing the Britannia. Couldn't be further from the truth, with the Potters number one welcoming the potential addition of the Birmingham City goalkeeper.

12:59: After QPR's decision against signing Andros Townsend from Spurs, speculation now suggests that the R's have pulled out of signing Jermaine Jenas and David Bentley. More as an when we get it.

12:54: Newcastle United chairman Mike Ashley arrived at work in a helicopter today. Did he borrow it off Ryan Babel? Has anyone seen the Dutchman hovering precariously above Upton Park today? It's the usual deadline day rumour that often circulates.

12:47: Speaking of Spurs and strikers, rumours of Leandro Damiao securing a switch to White Hart Lane are again resurfacing. The Brazilian has been courted by the club for the last five transfer windows, but have thus far failed to land the highly rated Internacional frontman. Looking across the continent, Sky Italy are reporting that Reto Ziegler is close to securing a loan switch to Fenerbache from Juventus.

12:44: Well, here's something. Everton are believed to be interested in Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo. Spurs have been credited with a liking in the Spaniard, but the La Liga side are thought to have slapped a €20m price tag on his head.

12:42: Casting a close eye to London and Fulham have completed the loan signing of Dutch international Urby Emanuelson from AC Milan. The versatile defender-cum-winger worked with manager Martin Jol during their time together with Ajax.

12.32: Sunderland have also been keen to invest this window and there are rumours that the Black Cats have completed the signing of Danny Graham from Swansea City. More as we get it. Also, Wigan Athletic have resigned Paul Scharner from Hamburg. The Austrian departed the DW Stadium from West Bromwich Albion back in 2010.

12.30: Norwich City aren't finished with the striker pursuit this window, with reports suggesting the club have lodged a fourth bid for Celtic frontman Gary Hooper. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has flown to Germany ahead of a loan move to Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

12.25: Speaking of Christopher Samba, QPR have just confirmed his arrival on a four-and-a-half year deal. The powerful centre-back signs from Anzhi Makhachkala for a fee believed to be in the region of £12m. Who else is going to arrive at Loftus Road today? Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend has already seen a move to the R's fall through, while David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas are rumoured to be signing for the club this afternoon.

12.23: Some big news already today. David Beckham looks set to join Paris St. Germain, with the Ligue Un side calling a 4pm press conference. Stoke City are now in the driving seat to sign Jack Butland from Birmingham City, Christopher Samba is edging closer to signing for Queen's Park Rangers and Norwich City have completed the signing of Luciano Becchio, with Steve Morison heading to Leeds United.

12.20: Good afternoon all, Ben McAleer here and I'll be gently caressing you through the next few hours of Transfer Deadline Day right up until 11pm tonight.
