Two legged games can often be cagey affairs but tonight's Capital One Cup semi-final first leg clash between Liverpool and Chelsea was anything but.

Liverpool played superbly and controlled the game, yet found themselves a goal behind at half-time from an Eden Hazard penalty. They fought back in the second-half to equalise, with a brilliant solo goal from Raheem Sterling levelling the score.

Yet despite their dominance Liverpool failed to strike the killer blow and Chelsea will start as favourites for the second-leg next week. Here's how Twitter reacted to this entertaining match.
