One of the feel-good stories of the season is the return to prominence of Eidur Gudjohnsen, who was on target today as Bolton defeated Cardiff 3-0.
Gudjohnsen was without a club earlier this season and started training with Bolton in November. Neil Lennon handed him a new contract and the Icelandic international returned the favour, showing terrific form in 2015 - some 19 years since the 36 year old made his debut.
Last week Gudjohnsen scored his 25th goal for Iceland, having not played for his country in 18 months. Today’s goal was a cracker and just to prove that age really is just a concept, even Emile Heskey got in on the act by providing two assists.
