Why Southampton Should Sign Italian Star to Replace Dani Osvaldo
If there is a criticism of Southampton's superb season, it's the signing of striker Dani Osvaldo. The Italian international came with a big reputation and a bigger price tag after his summer move from Roma, but he has been a disaster.
The 28-year-old had a bad boy reputation and didn't disappoint, headbutting Jose Fonte in training before being shipped to Juventus in January.
The man the Saints want to replace him, according to the Mirror, is at Juve as well - Italian international Fabio Quagliarella. He doesn't score many goals, but when he does hit the back of the net it's almost always special. The 31-year-old is believed to be available for a bargain £2 million.
