World Cup Winner Signals "Come And Get Me" Plea To Arsenal & Man Utd
It's no secret that Man Utd are in need of some quality in their defence, and the man who could hold the key seems to have just signalled a "come and get me" plea to England.
According to The Mirror, Benedikt Howedes, the World Cup winning German currently plying his trade at Schalke, has said in a recent interview that his goal would be to move abroad after his time in Germany comes to an end, with England top of his wish list.
This will be music to Arsene Wenger and LVG's ears, as both men have been taking a keen interest in the £15m rated defender all season.
Man Utd's injury problems have lead to them playing lots of their defenders out of position this season, so perhaps what they need is a truly versatile player in the back four. Howedes can play at left-back or in central defence and was present in every one of Germany's World Cup games last summer.
Here's his best moments from the tournament in which he became a World Cup winner.
