Yoann Gourcuff's Goal Of The 2009 Season That Will Start Arsenal Fans Salivating
The underperforming Frenchman has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this month and if Wenger can bring out the best in Gourcuff, there is no reason why he can't fire Arsenal to a top four finish.
Whenever any footballer is dubbed the next great national hero, the pressure usually tells and see’s the player in question fail to live up to expectations. The statement most certainly applies to Yoann Gourcuff. The France midfielder was touted as the next Zinedine Zidane during his time at Rennes as a youngster, but spells with AC Milan, Bordeaux and Lyon have failed to see the midfielder reach the expected heights of the Frenchman. Nevertheless, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is thought to be keen on bringing Gourcuff to the Emirates Stadium and if he can bring out the best in the 26-year-old, it could well be one of the signings of the January transfer window.
