Food Company Forced To Remove The Word 'Meat' From Their Meatballs
Yep, just 'balls' now.
In todays “You Couldn’t Make It Up” section, Finnish food company Kesko have been forced to rename their meatballs ‘Balls’ because they don’t contain enough meat.
According to legislation, machine separated meat (which was banned in the UK in 2012) can’t actually be described as such. This could be because it’s largely made up of earholes and bumholes.
Seriously though, couldn’t they have thought of a better name other than just ‘Balls’? Hardly appetising, unless you’re Hannibal Lecter.
