Great Retro Video Games
There will always be a special place in our hearts for the simple 16-bit pixelated games of the past. Here's some great ones to reminisce about...
These days video games are so high-tech and polished that it’s almost hard to tell the difference between computer graphics and real life. But even though were blessed with games that have an artificial intelligence probably smarter than our own, there’s always a special place in our hearts for the simple 16-bit pixelated games of the past.
Here are our favourites retro games.
- Streets of Rage
- Out Run
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Super Mario
- Rampage
- Duck Hunt
- Donkey Kong
- Shinobi
- Space Invaders
- Lemmings

You're missing a few good ones. How about golden axe, and operation wolf?
Megadrive/Genesis was a 16Bit machine, and other machines associated were 8Bit - maybe your adding all these together?
I'm picking flies really, but the "32 bit" part means nothing, most of those games were on consoles that were 16 bit, or computers that were 8 bit. And the 32 bit part has no relation to the number of pixels anyway. /nerd
double dragon?
Re Donkey Kong - 'King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters' is an absolute must see on the retro gaming world. Simply brilliant.
Elite. Lost nights doing deals and fighting. Not much has changed I guess.....
Golden Axe? That game was utter shit! Now Strider on the MegaDrive, Legend of Zelda on the SNES and Road Rash on the MegaDrive now those are games... oh hold on... I'm thinking of Altered Beast. Yeah, Golden Axe was smart.
