Constructed in variety of materials, including palladium, brass, PVD, stainless steel or gold, each Romain Jerome Titanic-DNA features an array of nautical elements taken from the features of ships, such as rivets, a propeller, and even a wheelhouse steering gear which operates a propeller that draws ink into the pen nib. The latter is visible through a sapphire glass porthole. The barrel of each pen is adorned with a ring of oxidized steel, which is a fusion between actual material from the sunken vessel, and steel obtained from the Harland & Wolff shipyards, where the RMS Titanic was built. Each variation will be limited to a series of just 88 pieces.
Following up the success of their exclusive Titanic-DNA watches, Swiss luxury watchmaker Romain Jerome has introduced an extremely fine series of writing instruments, the design of which has been inspired by the ill-fated RMS Titanic.
