Sadly the fuel hungry marque fell foul of the fuel crisis in the 70s and ceased production in 1976. Now over thirty years later, another British company – Oxfordshire’s V Eight Ltd - has taken upon itself to resurrect this classic car that was once driven by The Saint himself - Simon Templer. V Eight have given the car a new more powerful fuel-efficient engine and brought 21st century technology to the car, not just because they can, but sympathetically fusing the old with the new in seamless harmony. The new Jensen Interceptor S boasts a whopping 414bhp, 17” wheels with aluminum rims in the original Jensen style, along with a full leather interior and Wilton carpets, all finished in the customer's choice of colour. The Interceptor S is coach built and is one of a limited edition of 50 cars, individually numbered. Classic British style doesn’t get any better than this.
The Jensen Interceptor enjoyed a decade in the limelight from its conception in 1966 as a top British sports car for roguish gentlemen.
