The anonymous artist has a thing for pop culture and the grotesque - both of which are definitely fine by us...

Earlier this year, mysterious artist The Gimp General came out of nowhere with monstrous caricatures of famous figures from film and television. American Psycho's Patrick Bateman, Jay-Z, Kanye West and the guys from Breaking Bad all met the wrath of his fine-tip pen and before too long he was off and illustrating avatars and record sleeves for some of dance music's biggest and brightest, up to and especially dubstep behemoth Rusko.

After a pop-up store at London's prodigious Box Park in Shoreditch, a deal with legendary drum and bass label Hospital Records and a rumoured project with Google, looks like The Gimp is going from strength to strength.
