The Godfather Of Dubstep himself, Benga has a created a new track to coincide with the lauch of Trapstar's recent collaboration with the new Hitman videogame. It's a triple threat!

Benga, the certified ‘Godfather Of Dubstep’, has been busying himself recently, creating hot new track ‘Hitman’ to coincide with the launch of popular London-based streetwear fashion label Trapstar’s recent collaboration with the highly anticipated video game release of Hitman: Absolution. The sharp visuals for the music video see Benga doing his thing underwater accompanied by some fierce looking females all decked out in the collection.

Whilst on location in glamorous Basildon for the video shoot, we chatted to Benga to ask how and why he got involved in the collaboration. “I’ve known Mickey for a while and wanted to do something with Trapstar. I love their brand and the way they do stuff, it kind of reminds me of how I do things” the DJ/producer declared”, adding “I think everything that they have done so far, from the t-shirts down to the leather jackets they have done for me, look street stylish.”

Trapstar co-founder and creative director, Mickey also elaborated on the hook up between the streetwear label and the video game. “We just felt like it fitted. It was an organic thing because it’s traditionally a dark game and we’re traditionally a dark brand. We don’t follow any rules.” The new range features the classic black with a hint of red colour ways, both of which are signatures for Hitman’s agent 47 and Trapstar’s core cut and sew pieces.

Trapstar has come a long way since it began life in 2006 as a small urban fashion start up specialising in cool and edgy street wear. Having steadily gone from strength to strength, the label now counts A$AP Rocky, model Cara Delevingne, and none other than the original good girl gone bad Rihanna as celebrity fans. “Rihanna is a famous version of the type of girls who support our brand and that are that take no sh*t type of girl” quips Mickey.

The exclusive track will be available to download from Soundcloud here now.
