Animal Collective won hearts the world over with their last album, Merriweather Post Pavilion, but have been a little quiet since its 2009 release and subsequent mega-tour. Fans need not fear that their time away has been in vein though, as they’ve just dropped first track from their upcoming album Centipede Hz; it as exciting as anything else they’ve ever done and solidifies their place with Yeasayer as the pre-eminent purveyors of psych-pop on the planet.
