The 15 tracks that should be soundtracking your summer, as chosen by UK DJ royalty Joey Negro

1.Everybody Wants Something - Akabu feat Alex Mills  (Z)

Getting a great response on this bass line driven vocal cut from myself and Alex

2. The Game - Lars Vegas  (Large)

Is it from 1993? Well, it could be but it’s actually new and deffo sounds good on a system

3. Goodnight - Phillip Owusu

Beautiful moody song, no doubt in my top 10 of 2103

4. Taste The Groove (Hot Toddy Remix) - The Sunburst Band  (Z)

Chris Todd has done terrific 4/4 remix of this vocoder-filled funk jam from our last album

5. G.O.D (Shur-i-Kan Remix) - Lowpazz  (Dark Energy)

I love the chords! Another killer from the very talented Tom Szirtes

6. Everything’s Gonna Be Alright (Joey Negro Edit) - Clarke Sisters  (Z)

A track from our recent gospel comp given an extended disco workout

7. Pulse Of The City - Om’mass Keith (Ommas)

Wicked combination of styles and influences.....and you can download it free from his soundcloud

8.Searchin (Opolopo Remix) -  Roberto de Carlo (RDC Digital)

Hard-to-track-down Remix from Opolopo, and deffo shades of 1980 Rod Temperton

9. Smile (Shur-i-Kan Remix) - Kendra Cash (Z)

A powerful more electronic remix of last years soulful house hit.

10. CE100 - Ron Trent  (Future Vision)

From a couple of years back but it's timeless dubbed-out boogie house, and good for setting the mood

11. “Someone Like You” - Ross Coach  (Body Rhythm)

Wicked chords and sweet vocals, my kind of house music

12.Make Room For Me - Anonello Ferrari feat Jennifer Walce  (Z)

West End-style boogie synth and live instrumentation aplenty of the dub.

13.I Just Want To Make You Happy (Sean McCabe Remix) - Peven Everett

Nice subtle rework of Peven’s recent souled out jam

14. Needin Your Love - Scot Diaz

Slammin nu disco bassline action

15.  “Rock Your Body” Kyodai Remix - Azucar (Z)

Somebody throw some water over these guys, Kyodai (or Bassfort/Wagon Cookin) are buring a hole in my cd wallet/hardrive!

Joey Negro will be resident at Soul Heaven's pop-up pool parties at Ocean Beach, Ibiza this summer, starting June 8th.
