Arsenal: Chelsea & Man City Spark Into Life As Giroud Plans Exit Strategy

Fresh from being caught with his pants down (literally), Arsenal’s French net tickler Olivier Giroud is furiously attempting to work his way back into the good books of his better half.

Flowers, chocolates, a Rosicky-sized, overpriced teddy with ‘je t’aime’ stitched into it… he’s been pulling out his best redemption moves of late, but Mrs G is having none of it.

“I’m fine” she keeps replying, abruptly, as he gingerly explores why she has a face liked a slapped Arsene - but, worry not, she WILL make him pay for his infidelity.

Namely, by moving him back to France. At least that’s what The Guardian are reporting is likely to happen this summer, as the Gunners’ goalie botherer looks to get his marriage back on track.

Because there are DEFINITELY no hot girls there, with come to bed eyes and French maid outfits. None.

Now, realistically, PSG and Monaco are the only conceivable options for the Les Bleus international, who is set to take his immaculate hair to Brazil for the World Cup in the summer - and his Emirates exit could spark a transfer merry-go-round on these shores.

Chelsea have made no secret about their desire to bring Radamel Falcao across the Channel, and the arrival of Giroud on the Riviera would perhaps appease Monaco fans should they part with their Grade A, 100% pure Colombian.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho is also said to be duking it out with Arsenal, Manchester City and *snigger* Manchester United for PSG’s Edinson Cavani - and the Uruguayan has already mooted that he is unhappy playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Parc des Princes.

There is a big financial gulf between both of those strikers though, and Giroud, who signed for a snip at £12 million in 2011, trousering around £45,000 per week in the process.

That’s pocket change to the likes of Falcao and Cavani, who are said to be earning, effectively, £450,000 and £300,000 per week. Yes, you read that right.

Of course, Manchester City could easily afford to splash that kind of cash - but it leaves Arsenal with a real conundrum: do they let their star striker depart, and risk having to pay over the odds to replace him? Or insist on him staying put in North London, and feel the wrath of a woman scorned?

There has been talk of Bayern Munich frontman Mario Mandzukic heading to Arsenal - but with plenty of other suitors, that one is far from sealed.

So, Gunners fans: would you be willing to let Giroud’s missus get her way, and see him go? Or are you going to kick up a fuss, and, let’s face it, have to live with being homewreckers FOREVER?
