Rooney’s hair has been splashed over the front pages but if we had our way it would be Hodgson receiving the plaudits from the press. We get to grips with why Spain were to happy to avoid us and how Hodgson has restored our faith in the national team.

Another good discussion but what you guys didn't pick up on was the game against the Ukraine was a home tie for them and Sweden was almost a home game with 20 thousand to our 2. We were always going to have to sustain long periods of pressure. Normally we out number other countries with our fan base but this year fans haven't followed the disgruntled setup of the England team.

How about Milner is played in the MIDDLE where he was a revelation for Aston Villa and one of the best central midfielders in the league. Since then all of his managers for club and country seem to have planted him on the wing so that he can cover for full backs.

Manchester City’s James Milner Should Sit On The Bench For England* As an attacking outlet Milner is beyond hopeless. There is absolutely no need for him when both Parker and Gerrard are on the pitch (with the latter playing much more defensively than in his glory days). Walcott or the Ox would be much better.

@michael you are absolutely right! Play him in the middle!!! He's not really a winger for gods sake! He would be better than Parker who I think is so overrated.
