If you thought the Aston Villa v West Brom pitch invasion was bad then what's going on in Greece will make you choke on your prawn sandwiches.
The cup game between AEK Athens and Olympiakos was called off last night after crowd trouble in the AEK end. Fans climbed onto the pitch and chased Olympiakos players down the tunnel after seeing their team go a goal down in the 89th minute. AEK officials have blamed Olympiakos players and the referee for inciting the trouble. Brilliant.
Crowd violence has been prevalent in Greek football this season, with the governing body completely banning football indefinitely in February. A board meeting with the Super League also ended up in a row.
