Non-League Day 2014: Have Your Say
Imagine being able to stand for the entire ninety, beer in hand and chomping on a greasy burger that didn't make you laugh when you read the cost...
Last year, Non-League fans from around the country celebrated Non-League Day by supporting their local Non-League team.
Others, travelled to the Dripping Pan, the home of fan-owned football club Lewes FC, for a mass meet up at this designated East-Sussex location - all in support of Non-League Day.
Chats were exchanged between folk who had travelled the length of the country, stories exchanged of past and present football tales, while in the background, Lewes FC had let slip a two-goal lead to the Met Police who left the Dripping Pan with a point.
This year, on Saturday, September 6th 2014, Non-League Day celebrates its fifth birthday and the campaign to promote grassroots, semi-professional and amateur football shows no sign of slowing down.
This year, STAND, the supporters of NLD (Non-League Day), have decided not to chose one specific meeting point, but would like you, the fans, to suggest a number of games taking place in your local area that we can promote, giving Non-League new-comers and ground hoppers a broader choice on which to explore.
If you have any games in mind and would like to put them forward, drop an e-mail to Bill Biss at: [email protected] with the game and the reasons why you’ve chosen that specific game.
Just imagine, right, being able to stand up for the entire 90 minutes, a beer in hand, enjoying chat with like-minded people and chomping on a greasy double cheeseburger that didn’t make you laugh when you read the cost - great, aye?
If you like it, Pass it on
