Just a remark: Mostar is in Herzegovina, not in Bosnia. Herzegovina is mediteranian, and Bosnia continental part of country named: Bosnia and Herzegovina.

You’re wrong. I have been to Mostar, Plzen, Ljubljana, Bled, Brasov and Bran.

You are so very right about Cinque Terre. The landscape and water (as well as the delicious ice cream) are unforgettable. I visited there a decade ago and can not wait to return. Truly a one-of-a-kind piece of paradise on earth!

Bucharest is not necessarily a boring place by day, there are plenty of places to see (such as the historical center, the Parliament). Morever, somewhere near the Presidential Palace, there’s an exquisite restaurant, Locanta Jaristea, which recreates the long gone atmosphere of the old Bucharest. I’ve been there a couple of times with some Romanian friends and I’m going to return for sure next time I get to Romania.

Yea I remember reading that piece Ben, there’s a link to it in the Mostar bit where burek is underlined. Amazing place. One bit I didn’t mention was how badly it’s still damaged by the war, so close to all the loveliness of the city centre.

Oh, and Bled for that matter. Stunning place. By day you can row around the lake and onto the island. At night I sat on the shores with some mates smoking some of the finest Slovenian grade and watching locals pull in giant catfish. Magical place.

Yes to Mostar (and no one actually distinguishes between the two now, the entire country is called Bosnia & Herzegovina /pedant/)
