Brigadier Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, often known simply as the Brigadier, was one of Doctor Who's great good guys. A founder member of UNIT, (Unified Intelligence Taskforce), he led the way in defending the earth from extraterrestrial threats while also aiding the Doctor in any way he could.

Sadly, the man who brought the Brigadier to life, Nicholas Courtney passed away earlier this year after a battle with illness. His legacy lives on through the Brigadier, though, and he will always be remembered as one of the Doctor's great allies.
