What if Jean-Luc Godard had made Trainspotting in the '60s? Imagine John Wayne as 'The Man Of Steel', or how about Ryan Gosling prototype Jimmy Dean taking the lead role in Drive? Sadly we're never going to see these films, but with the help of brilliant New York artist Peter Stults , we can at least see what the posters would have looked like.
His ace collection of 16 graphics depicts some of the star's of Hollywood's golden age, and beyond. filling the roles of modern actors in some of the biggest box-office hits, and indie breakouts of recent years. Stults explains the inspiration behind the project: "A while back a friend of mine forwarded me a site where artist Sean Hartter made posters of films that, title wise, we were familiar with, but there was a slight difference; they were remade as if they belonged to a different era or a different genre, the name of the movie was there, but the actors were different, the style was different, and I loved the concept. So I went forward with this theme; what if movies we were all familiar with were made in a different slice of time? Who would be in it? Who would direct it? So here we are..."
