André-Pierre Gignac: Check Out West Ham's French International Target Banging Them In
West Ham fans have had very little post-shock-Spurs-win to cheer about, but with Big Sam reporting that West Ham have a hit-list of twenty targets for the January transfer window, there is perhaps hope on the horizon.
The Daily Mail are reporting that West Ham are lining up a loan move for Marseille striker André-Pierre Gignac, a striker who would be a massive improvement on perennially-injured party-boy Andy Carroll and goal-and-work-shy striker Carlton Cole.
The 27-year-old French international has scored four in seventeen for his country and hit eighteen in all competitions last season for l'OM. While this strike record might not be terribly impressive, the Hammers aren't really in a position to pick and choose.
