Arsenal After £30mil Man Rodrigo? Watch Him Do What He Does: Scoring Goals

According to the straightforwardly-named, Arsenal are up for reentering the race to sign Benfica's dead-eyed hitman Rodrigo to strengthen their forward line.

The Brazilian-born Spaniard started in the Real Madrid youth ranks and through to their C and B teams before being signed by Benfica for around about €6million in 2010. Ignoring the fact that he had a reasonably uneventful spell at Bolton(!) in the 2010/11, he's a player that's been very highly rated around Europe and, as such, has had the ludicrous sum of £30million attached to him.

His record in internationals is pretty darn impressive too. After shunning his native Brazil in favour of pass-masters Spain, he scored fifteen goals in sixteen games for Spain U21s - but is yet to make his full international debut (which the FA will probably use to try and wrangle him into playing for England should he sign for, and stay at, Arsenal).

The 22-year-old isn't, however, a prolific scorer for Benfica. He scored 11 in 38 games last season and is looking to improve on that rate with 8 in 17 this.

In short: good player as a back-up but he's not going to be winning you any titles any time soon...
