Sky have sensationally claimed that a top four club have "offered a return" to Carlos Tevez and are close to agreeing a deal for the Argentine.
It doesn't take Jessica Fletcher to work out who that club could be. The Juventus striker has already had spells at Manchester United and Manchester City, both of whom he left in acrimonious circumstances, which leaves Arsenal and Chelsea as the main contenders to sign the player. Sky also understands that the club is not Liverpool, as previously suggested by reports in the press.
Chelsea are in need of a striker to provide competition for Diego Costa, while Tevez would represent a huge upgrade to the striking options currently at Arsenal. At 31-years old he’s not a long-term investment for either club, but his 50 goals in 95 games for Juventus over the past two seasons shows that he’s still very much a top player.
