Arsenal: Could This Iranian Youngster Solve Your Striker Problems?
Arsenal are surely going to sign a striker this summer, right? Fans have been crying out for a big-name striker to arrive in North London since Robin van Persie left, but they may have to welcome another unknown, according to a report in the Daily Star.
Rubin Kazan's Sadar Azmoun has revealed that he has had talks with both Arsenal and AC Milan about a potential transfer this summer. The 19-year-old Iranian would be expected to cost around £2 million, well within Arsenal's budget. Azmound added: "Both their representatives are about to meet Rubin Kazan management next Thursday. I'm really happy for such clubs being interested in signing me, and playing in Premier League would be a dream coming true."
YouTube compilations aren't the most reliable barometer of someone's ability, and the defending in the above video is very questionable, but the kid does look a bit special. Olivier Giroud has many qualities, but he's completely reliant on service from his team mates, which limits Arsenal's threat. That wouldn't be such an issue with Azmoun, who's got the flair to create his own opportunities.
Do Arsenal fans want to see another talented youngster arrive, or do they want a proven goalscorer?
