We know the return of Mathieu Flamini isn't the marquee signing Arsenal fans were hoping for, but the midfielder could surprise a few this season. He possesses the attributes Arsenal need in midfield; aggression, positional discipline and tough tackling, not to mention proven Premier League quality. He slotted seamlessly into left back in 2006, covering for the injured Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy, and was ubiquitous in Arsenal's journey to the Champions League final.
