Arsenal are considering making a move for £10 million rate Senegalese hitman Moussa Konate, currently plying his trade at FC Sion in Switzerland. The news comes from reports in Italy, via the Mirror, as Konate is one of a number of young Senegalese players that are highly rated, several of which already play in the Premier League.

These include Saido Mane, Cheikhou Kouyate and Idrissa Gueye, while Pappis Cisse is slightly older and at Newcastle, and Demba Ba played at West Ham, Newcastle and Chelsea.

Konate is highly rated, and struck 22 times for FC Sion last season, and has already scored 7 this season, also chipping in with 5 assists. Konate is attracting interest from Arsene Wenger, who sees him as a player he can mould and develop, while Chelsea continue to scour Europe for signings. The blues have over 30 players out on loan, and use feeder clubs to develop players, and that may influence any potential deal.

Everton have also been linked, and the prospect of first team football would be a draw, with Lukaku and Kone being Everton's two first team strikers, and more chance of breaking through, while Spurs and West Ham have been tentatively linked.
