The agent of the Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci has claimed that the player is 'flattered' by the interest of Celtic.

Ciftci is represented by the former Celtic striker Pierre van Hooijdonk, who scored 56 goals in 92 games for the club between 1995 and 1997.

The former Dutch international revealed that Ciftci had turned down a move to Wigan and indicated that he's waiting it out for Celtic. "He is flattered by Celtic's interest but that is quite normal when you realise the size of the club. Anyone would be interested.

"Our relationship with Dundee United is a very good one and we want to keep it that way. We will just wait and see what happens over the next few days and weeks.

"At the end of the day the player always decides what happens in my opinion."

From the sound of it if the player gets his way he'll be wearing green and white before long. Here's the man in action.
