Atletico Madrid CEO Miguel Angel Gil has flown to London to discuss and ultimately finalise a deal that would see Arda Turan join Premier League Champions Chelsea, according to Turkish outlet DHA.

Reports linking Turan to the Premier League (including his own words) have flitted between Manchester United and Chelsea, but now it seems clear that Chelsea are the frontrunners and are 'very close' to a deal that could be 'announced this week'.

It's believed that Atletico are very much interested in bringing Felipe Luis back to Madrid as part of the deal, which could have an impact on the €41m price-tag. DHA also claim that Manchester United have now retracted interest after resigning to the fact that Chelsea have a better hand.
