Champions League Winner Could Seal Man United Deal

Victor Valdes has become an outcast at Old Trafford since his acrimonious falling out with Louis Van Gaal at the start of the season, and could finally seal a move (Daily Mail) away from the club.

Valdes was Barcelona's number one for several years throughout their domination of European and domestic honours, but has become marginalised at United since signing. He initially joined the club to regain his fitness after a long term injury and his departure from Nou Camp, before signing for the club permanently.

Since David De Gea's last minute Madrid move collapsed and he subsequently signed a new deal, he has been unequivocally Van Gaal's first choice, with Romero his deputy. Valdes could agree to a termination of his contract, but United will insist that he leaves England, so as not to strengthen their rivals, amid rumours Chelsea are interested.

If he does terminate his deal, that would allow him to move on a free transfer outside of the window, whereas if he doesn't agree to a termination, he would then have to wait until January for a move with his contract still having time left to run.
