Tottenham Hotspur could be set to lose out to Chelsea in the race for Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi as they're reluctant to meet the Marseille man's demands, according to the Mirror.
Batshuayi, 22, has demanded a £100k per week deal at Spurs. The North London club are unlikely to sanction such a deal as that would make him their highest paid player. Spurs are keen to bring in competition for Premier League top scorer Harry Kane, but they don't want to cause disparity in the squad by overpaying a new signing.
Chelsea are also interested in Batshuayi, who scored 23 goals and made a further 10 last season. The blues are also more willing to meet the Belgian nearer to his bumper wage demands. With Spurs now stalling, Chelsea may well steal the striker from under their rival's noses.
