A week in which Jose Mourinho has been widely condemned for his criticism of Eva Carneiro after Chelsea's 2-2 draw in their Premier League opener with Swansea has ended with him taking another dig at adversary Arsene Wenger.
After Chelsea lost to Arsenal (the first time Wenger had beaten Mourinho) in the Community shield, Mourinho deflected focus from the performance and it seems to have worked again after a lacklustre performance in which Courtois was sent off. Mourinho was asked if he was surprised about Manuel Pelligrini being awarded a new contract ahead of Chelsea's early season heavyweight clash at the Etihad.
Mourinho commented, "Why? Some other clubs, they have disappointed for 15 years and the manager is the same."
It is far from the first time he has been involved in a war of words with the Frenchman, he famously called Wenger a 'Specialist in failure' last February and Wenger has called Mourinho 'disrespectful'.
