Classic Wenger: Arsenal Target 17-Year-Old Polish Starlet

Completely ignoring all criticism of his transfer tactics for the best part of the last decade, Wenger is apparently turning his attention to 17-year-old Polish forward Dawid Kownacki, according to talkSPORT.

With a centre-forward being top of his shopping list, he has naturally targeted the Lech Poznań attacking-midfielder as his first target. Because he's Arsene Wenger and he plays by nobody's rules but his own.

Kownacki, to be fair, looks a decent player but is untested at a high-level and even at his low price-tag (est. £275k) he'd represent a bit of a risk. We totally wouldn't be surprised to see him go the way of Fran Merida and Nacer Barazite.

Isn't it about time that Wenger stopped coveting pretty young things and turned his attention to signing the kind of experienced, world-class talent that'll take Arsenal back to a position that the fans deserve?
