Paul Pogba is one of football's hottest properties, with Sir Alex Ferguson admitting that letting him leave was one of his biggest regrets as Manchester United boss. The explosive Juventus midfielder reached the Champions League final as Juve won a double last season, but he was linked with a big money move for much of the summer.
That move never materialised, as he was heavily linked with Manchester City and Chelsea, as Chelsea had a reported £62 million bid accepted, but there is news on his future, as reported in the Sunday Express: http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/604741/Exclusive-Manchester-City-miss-out-Paul-Pogba-Barcelona
The news comes that Barcelona are clearing the path to make a sensational swoop for the French superstar once their transfer embargo comes to an end. Man City maintain a keen interest in him, and will be using their Champions League clash with Juventus this week to keep further tabs on the player. Chelsea seem to have dropped their interest in him for now.
Manuel Pelligrini commented on the story, “He’s a good player, a young player and has a good future.” He also talked up the ability of Yaya Toure, but ruled nothing out with regards to a future move for Pogba.
