Ex Man Utd and England legend David Beckham has publicly backed his former teammate Ryan Giggs to be the next United manager, once Louis Van Gaal leaves.

Beckham, who made 394 appearances in a Manchester United shirt in a career spanning over a decade at Old Trafford, was part of the renowned 'Class of 92' alongside Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and the Nevilles.

Giggs took over as temporary Man Utd boss the end of the 2013/14 season after the sacking of David Moyes, and still features in LVG's current backroom staff.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Beckham said: "To be a player who has represented one club through his career, that doesn't happen anymore" adding, "at some point, he will hopefully become United manager in the future."
