Having been linked with Manchester United for what seems like an entire ice age, it seems Wesley Sneijder could actually become an Old Trafford player according to the Daily Star.
The Dutch international saw himself dropped from the Galatasaray side which lost 3-0 at the weekend, which left him and supporters wondering what he'd done. His agent has called emergency talks with the board over his future at the club, which has sparked the interest of those in Manchester.
Although his form for Gala has been up and down, Sneijder's highlights reel still shows a player who can turn nothing into something, rather than the opposite like so many of United attacking midfielders. Playing him and Rooney together might require a system tweak, but to be honest it's not currently working and Sneijder's presence would be worth double Anderson and Fellaini put together.
Still with a massive point to prove, the number is apparently available for £13m and would surely provide a lift to supporters and players alike. With over 100 career goals and assists at club level, Sneijder remains one of the players of his generation and would surely welcome the opportunity to show he still has it on the biggest stage.
