Former Arsenal, Manchester City and now Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has finally sealed his exit from White Hart Lane (by mutual consent) after another mixed spell and being consigned to the reserves for almost the whole of Mauricio Pochettino's reign.

Adebayor is a player with immense talent but lacks the attitude to match, and his best performances using come after signing for a new club, or when he is fighting for a new contract or a new club. After a superb spell at Arsenal, he joined Manchester City for £25 million back in 2009, and his debut season was arguably successful too. Loan spells followed at Real Madrid and Spurs, where he hit 17 goals in 33 appearances, before joining permanently. He went on to strike a further 18 times in 54 games, with a good spell under Tim Sherwood.

Adebayor could make the move to Aston Villa according to the Sunday Telegraph: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/aston-villa/11861046/Tim-Sherwood-to-revive-Aston-Villa-interest-in-Emmanuel-Adebayor.html

Initially it was reported they could move for him in January after he nearly joined the Villains on loan in the summer, holding talks before the move fell apart. With his contract now being terminated and him looking for first team football, Sherwood could be reunited with a man he believes he can get the best out of.
