It's all very cloak and dagger.

Pierre Van Hooijdonk (remember him?) has sensationally claimed that his ex Feyenoord and Holland teammate Robin Van Persie is being secretly sold by Man Utd without the player's knowledge.

According to The Mirror, Hooijdonk claims United have been trying to offload RVP since January, holding clandestine talks with Turkish club Fenerbache, who have been interested in the striker for a while.

Van Persie is out of contract in a year's time and has failed to impress the United faithful since joining from Arsenal in 2012, despite a commendable scoring record of one every other game in a United shirt.

Writing in his column for Voetbal International, Van Hooijdonk said “I would advise Robin to leave United this summer. All the signals are there that the club wants to sell him. So he has to get out on time.”

What do you think United fans? Should LVG sell RVP?
