Former International Reveals Leeds Legend Was His Motivation

The former Norwegian international Jan Aage Fjortoft now works as a football media professional and this week he revealed the player who motivated him as a boy.

Fjortoft, who had spells with Swindon, Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Barnsley in England, was in Leeds this week for a trip to Elland Road. Despite making his name as a goalscorer with 249 goals in 548 club appearances and 20 goals in 71 caps for Norway, Fjortoft revealed that it was a certain legendary former Leeds midfielder who he used to idolise.
