Green Light For Wenger To Put Superstar Cavani In Arsenal Shirt

Les Rouges et Bleus are by far and away the best team in France and life is good in the capital. Unless you're Uruguayan goalie-botherer Edinson Cavani, that is.

The ex-Napoli frontman has been spotted skulking around the city of late, upset at having to play second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Parc des Princes.

Nope - the South American has spent recent weeks glumly sitting in his bedroom, Googling 'why do my club h8 me so much' and writing totes emosh statuses on Facebook, in between having an altogether pretty disappointing World Cup.

Luckily for him, Arsenal have long been casting flirty glances across the Channel, and Arsene Wenger is certainly in need of a saviour this season. If reports in the Metro are anything to go by, manager Laurent Blanc has finally lost patience with Cavani and hinted that he may need to pack his bags in January.

Cavani would certainly fit the bill for the Arsenal side. With a dearth of world class attacking talent out there at the moment, the Uruguayan is one of the most complete strikers on the market. The only problem is, PSG know that too - and as such they're basically just writing as many zeros as they can fit on his price tag.

At the moment, the bidding stands at around £50 million.

With Man United and Chelsea also putting their hat in the mixer, things look to be hotting up.
