Raheem Sterling probably doesn't feel like flavour of the month at Liverpool today. Not only did Reds legend John Barnes come out publicly to remind the world that he's achieved nothing so far in his career, but the England international was booed at the club's end of season awards night while being crowned Young Player of the Year.
Some would say he's brought it on himself with his public stubbornness over a £100,000 a week contract, but one thing's for certain, if he does decide to jump ship, one club will be ready to welcome him in with open arms.
Man City are among the small number of European teams able to satisfy Sterling's wage demands, and according to The Mirror today, the sky blues have put in a £40m deal for the player.
Sterling's agents are worried he's been made into a scapegoat for the club's disappointing performance this season, but Rodgers is keen to turn that around and make Raheem a fan favourite.
