Leeds United's plans for the start of the season have been dealt a blow with the news that midfielder Luke Murphy will be out for up to seven weeks with a knee injury.

The 25 year old will undergo minor surgery on his knee, which could see him miss the opening games of the season.

According to new Leeds boss Uwe Rosler  Murphy twisted his knee during pre-season training last week and has been sent for an operation with a specialist.

Leeds start the 2015/16 season at home to Burnley on August 8th.
