Leeds United: Twitter Celebrates Tom Lees' Departure
Tom Lees has left Leeds United for Sheff Weds and Twitter Explodes (sort of)
Leeds United’s much maligned former England Under 21 has slipped off quietly down the M1 to Sheffield Wednesday. Here’s what the Leeds fans - who were divided to say the least - had to say on the matter on Twitter.
Wish Tom the best of luck from me. I made this for him. This isn't goodbye. @alice_coralie pic.twitter.com/ReK9jAfDM2

The bit that gets me about Tom Lees's wife's story is the fact he has a wife. Who would marry that dope? #lufc

I miss Tom Lees already #lufc

Seriously, I'd pay SWFC decent money, just so I didn't have to suffer one more boring ******* employing the 'Blame Tom Lees' one-liner…

@ArcticReviews @Ken_DeMange this needed to happen. I'm just amazed we couldn't con a fee.

@Ken_DeMange I blame Tom Lees for all the shit 'blame Tom Lees' jokes.

Hope all you so called fans are happy driving Tom Lees out, is he any worse than Wootton, Warnock , Leeds through and through #Disrespectful

Neil Warnock's one last challenge: Destroy Tom Lees' confidence, he eventually sings for Sheffield United's main rivals. MISSION COMPLETE!

yes he tried but not much good , he s a league one player really who never developed after coming on scene 3 years ago, what leeds need and quickly for millwall game is a snarling gnarling commanding 6,3 defender with no front teeth, know any ? would of thought if anything an experienced italian would of been great in this position there usually the masters of defence it won them the last but one world cup !
First to admit never thought he was up to the mark, but gave his best, at a time when many did not. Best of luck!
Good luck Tom! He needs a new challenge. There'll be a few more joining him. We are better at getting rid, than recruiting just now.
Lees is far better than wooton imo, tried his best and gave it his all. Didn't have the best quality around him to help raise his game either. Also don't think he'll ever get anywhere near prem class but certainly an able championship/Leag 1 player. As many other current players at leeds, he simply wasnt good enough. All the best and thanks Tom. M.O.T
Good luck Tom all the best
I watched Tom's first game and felt sorry when he scored an own goal, but he soon put it right by scoring at the other end. He has been given the chances over the past three years and unfortunately not made too many friends in that time. I personally wish him well, and once again I wish that people (I won't call them supporters) could leave his family out of this. Good luck Tom!
It's not as if Tom is being forced onto the dole; he is going straight to Wednesday and will still be on telephone numbers this time next week. Good luck to him for the future though.
A mistake......way better than Wooton
Always tried his best...mny did not -Good luck Tom all the best
anyone who actually watches instead of getting p***** and jumping on every mistake he made would know we have just lost another player better than we have ke pt .watch his pro ressat wednesday
I would like to wish Tom all the best for his future.I always felt he done his best. Now lets move on (hope he will have a bad day when we play them)
